Jailed teen sues State over alleged sexual abuse

A TEENAGE prisoner has lodged a compensation claim against the State after accusing three of his cellmates of sexually abusing him, it has emerged.

The inmate's claim is one of hundreds lodged by prisoners who allege they were injured or traumatised while serving sentences or in remand.

These range from an inmate who alleges he was left traumatised when his cellmate attempted suicide, to a prisoner who is claiming compensation after cutting himself as he shaved the head of a fellow inmate.
