This was the rallying call of Defence Minister Michael Smith last night to new Fianna Fáil candidates selected to contest next year’s local elections.

Continuing Fianna Fáil’s fight-back campaign, the minister said the media debate about the Government’s record in office to date would make anyone think the end of the world was nigh.
