Summing up the Maths, Part 2

THE sun was shining heavily in Cork city yesterday morning but the second Leaving Certificate maths papers did not have students sweating too much.

Amy Goldsmith and Alison Corcoran, students of St Vincent’s secondary school in Cork city, are both hoping to get into childcare courses with their results. They found yesterday’s ordinary level maths paper more difficult than the first paper.

“It was definitely harder, but I don’t mind because I’m finished on Wednesday after the business exam,” said Alison from Gurranabraher, who is also interested in nursing.
