Gardaí probe raid on home

GARDAÍ in Waterford are anxious to talk to anyone who may have seen a gang of three men who assaulted and tied-up a couple, ransacked their home and stole cash and the family car.

The three men, wearing balaclavas, broke into the home of Frank and Rachel Lehane at Blenheim, about five miles outside Waterford city, in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The raiders are believed to have entered the couple’s home shortly after midnight.
