MOST diabetics are not keeping track of their blood sugar levels to avoid developing serious complications associated with the disease, according to a new study.

Proper treatment of the disease is crucial because it can cause heart attacks, strokes, blindness, limb amputations, kidney failure and osteoporosis.

The study found that 80% of patients diagnosed with diabetes were not meeting desired treatment targets.
