Funny money circulating in Galway

BUSINESSES in the west have been warned about a consignment of fake €100 notes which has been circulated in the Galway area.

Gardaí in Galway yesterday warned that the amount of counterfeit money is in circulation in the Loughrea/Kiltullagh area of the county.

When suspicious, a check may be performed by holding the note to the light.

The word euro along with the numerical value of the note will appear on the vertical strip.
