PDs mock 'slump coalition'

THE Progressive Democrats yesterday launched an aggressive attack on Fine Gael and Labour mocking their alliance as a "slump coalition".

In a re-run of the robust exchanges involving Fianna Fáil last week, the PDs also tried to portray the FG/Labour alternative as a government that would increase taxes.

Labour countered fiercely, saying the PDs were "parroting" earlier attacks by FF but were in no position to lecture anyone about economic competence.
