Hundreds sign up for single jabs

MORE than 600 parents are expected to have their children vaccinated with single doses of the controversial measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccines when a private company holds its first clinic in Dublin over the coming months.

Direct Health 2000 has registered more than 100 children to date, but has yet to find suitable premises for the outreach clinic.

The service, which will cost just under 380 for the three vaccines, is aimed at parents concerned about reported links between the controversial combined MMR vaccine and bowel disease and autism.
