Publish proposals, urges SF president
Just minutes after officials in London and Dublin confirmed plans to announce the governments’ proposals for the peace process in Hillsborough had been pulled, Mr Adams argued the public had a right to know what had been negotiated. “Sinn Féin calls upon the two governments to publish the joint declaration and their other public commitments now,” Mr Adams said.
“Sinn Féin has put a huge effort into these negotiations. The people are entitled to know what has been negotiated. The people are entitled to know what the governments intend to do.”
