MOST people believe drink driving limits should be reduced to ensure safer roads, according to a National Safety Council survey.

Of the 900 people who took part, 68% believe the blood alcohol level for drivers should be reduced from its current level of 80 mg per 100 millilitres of blood to just 50mg.

Such a limit would bring us in line with a number of European countries with tougher drink-driving laws.
