Fine Gael and Labour plan for alternative Government

FINE GAEL and Labour will put a joint strategy for an alternative government before the electorate in advance of the next general election.

As a prelude to this, the parties will have vote management pacts during forthcoming by-elections.

The parties announced their joint strategy dubbed the Mullingar Accord in Westmeath yesterday. Fine Gael and Labour have taken control of Westmeath County Council and they intend to use this as a blueprint for their joint strategy.
