Early start for Tall Ships’ farewell sail from port

TALL SHIPS revellers will have to be out of their bunks early tomorrow to see the 86 magnificent vessels depart Waterford.

Harbour master Captain Phillip Cowman says the first of the vessels should be moving off from their berths by 7am.

It’s going to mean an early start for him, his staff, the navy and coastguard personnel and all involved in ensuring the safe passage of everyone out of Waterford.
