Flight hit by 15-hour delay

SUN seekers faced a 15-hour delay at Cork Airport on Saturday after a routine examination discovered a technical difficulty with a scheduled departing flight.

The 12.50pm Cork to Lanzarote flight was delayed until 3.35am yesterday.

Officials said it was the only major bank holiday delay at the busy airport as a hectic summer season charter schedule started.
