Prisoner threatened hospital staff with knife

A PRISONER who pulled a knife on hospital staff at the weekend was back behind bars last night.

The prisoner was being treated at the Mid-West Regional Hospital, in Limerick, on Saturday evening for a stab wound inflicted during an altercation with another prisoner earlier.

Terrified staff looked on as the prisoner grabbed a knife and threatened the prison officer with him.
