Gardaí to submit DPP file over attack on 94-year-old shopkeeper

GARDAÍ are preparing a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions after questioning two non-nationals in relation to the mugging of a 94-year-old shopkeeper, which left him with a broken arm.

The men were arrested at 7am yesterday after gardaí swooped on the house in a Cork suburb the men were sharing.

Willie Carr, who runs a grocery shop in Cobh, Co Cork, was attacked last Monday week as he walked back from his local bank.
