Food authority bans some food supplements from health food shops

THE Food Safety Authority of Ireland has ordered health food shops to ban the sale of certain food supplements made by an Australian company.

Medicinal products made by Pan Pharmaceuticals have also been recalled by the Irish Medicines Board.

The FSAI said yesterday after the suspension of the manufacturing licence in Australia, it informed manufacturers, suppliers and distributors Pan Pharmaceuticals Ltd products are to be recalled immediately. The FSAI is advising consumers not to use any Pan Pharmaceuticals Ltd products.
