Activists vow Bush demo

ANTI-WAR activists last night vowed to stage a massive protest if US President George W Bush makes an expected visit here in June for the EU-US summit.

Richard Boyd-Barrett of the Irish Anti-War Alliance said there will be “big loud and angry” demonstrations when Mr Bush stops at Shannon.

“I think there will be tens of thousands willing to come out and protest,” Mr Boyd-Barrett said.

The EU-US summit will possibly take place sometime in the middle of June.
