STUDENTS anxiously awaiting results of their Leaving Certificate next week have been advised not to worry too much in the days ahead and consider their options carefully when they arrive.

National Parents Council (Post Primary) president Eleanor Petrie said nervous school leavers should wait until they know how they have done before weighing up their options.

“Students and their parents should try to keep calm until Wednesday, nothing can be done now that will change how they performed in the exams,” she said. “It’s just a case of staying positive and seeing their results to decide what they will do next year.”
