A PSYCHIATRIC patient who fell from a third floor window at Tralee General Hospital on Wednesday afternoon was yesterday being treated for his injuries in the hospital’s general section.

Last year, members of the Psychiatric Nurses Association (PNA) took industrial action at the hospital, with safety and security among the issues. The Southern Health Board declined to reveal details of the injuries to the young man, who was an

in-patient in the hospital’s psychiatric section. His injuries are understood to be not life threatening.
