Chinese student murdered yards from estate

GARDAÍ yesterday launched a murder investigation after a young student, described as a high flyer by her friends, suffered multiple stab wounds in an early morning attack just yards from a housing estate.

The body of Siang Yi Wang, just 21, was discovered just before eight yesterday by a passerby walking in a park in Bray. She was lying face up and there were stab wounds to her back and front.

A team of 50 gardaí have been assigned to investigate the murder, which is believed to have happened between 1am and 7am yesterday.
