Galway man knighted in Norway

A GALWAY auctioneer is to be knighted by Norway for his services to that country.

Ray Rooney has been honorary consul for Norway in the West of Ireland for 10 years.

He will shortly be decorated with a first class Knighthood of the Royal Order by the Norwegian ambassador, Truls Hanevold.
