A CORK technology company plans to create 25 jobs as part of an exciting expansion plan.

Media Satellite Ireland, based on Penrose Wharf, said yesterday it plans to commission its first Satellite Uplink Facility to provide high-speed broadband internet services to businesses and consumers.

Mediasat chief executive Rory Fitzpatrick said the facility will employ 25 people when it is up and running. The company are looking for engineers, technical and customer support staff and Mr Fitzpatrick said that it was a major investment in Ireland’s broadband infrastructure.
