Paisley sticks to arms demand

AN HISTORIC breakthrough in the North’s peace talks may be thwarted because of deadlock over the publication of decommissioning photographs.

As negotiations enter their final 24 hours, DUP leader Ian Paisley last night repeated his demand for photographic evidence of IRA decommissioning.

It also emerged that the Government will not seek a meeting with Ann McCabe, the widow of Detective Garda Jerry McCabe, until after a deal is brokered.
