Smoking ban in pubs 'unworkable'

Beamish & Crawford managing director Alf Smiddy believes there needs to be more serious debate on the government proposals relating to the drinks industry.

THE Government has been accused of targeting the drinks industry unfairly to divert public attention from more pressing issues.

The charge has come from a leading figure in the industry who also said that a total ban on smoking in pubs is unworkable.
