MORE than 300 years after it was first drafted, a new Treaty of Limerick is being drawn up.

But this time, the terms won’t deal with military alliances or property entitlements. It will tackle the aspirations of a modern city and issues of concern to its citizens.

The Treaty of Limerick was signed in 1691 by Patrick Sarsfield and the Williamite army which besieged the city.
