Basketball star, 21, dies after suffering epileptic fit

ONE of the country’s most promising basketball stars died suddenly yesterday after suffering an epileptic fit.

Emmett Neville, 21, from Blackpool in Cork, was pronounced dead at the Mercy Hospital after falling ill at his home yesterday.

A schoolboy and junior international, he trained with the Neptune Basketball Club on Monday night, just hours before the attack.
