Support for Government surges 9%, poll reveals

THERE has been a big swing in support back to the Government with public satisfaction at its highest point for a year, at 46%, according to the findings of a poll for the Irish Times.

The Taoiseach’s popularity rating has climbed nine points to 56% in just the past four months.

The tns/MRBI poll shows a rise of nine percentage points on the Government’s 37% satisfaction rating since the last such poll in September 2005.
