Gardaí pelted with bottles in mini riot

SEVEN people were arrested in Killarney after a mini riot broke out in the early hours yesterday.

Gardaí in the Co Kerry town were pelted with bottles and missiles in the town centre when they arrived to arrest two people who were fighting in the street.

A number of other members of the public got involved in the incident and garda reinforcements were called to the scene of the disturbance at the junction between Plunkett Street and Main Street.
