120 factory workers face redundancy by the weekend

MORE than 100 workers issued with protective notice last Thursday have received registered letters, telling them they could be out of a job by the weekend.

As the dispute between the workers at Waterford Stanley and management over plans to relocate manufacturing continued, the letters were received by staff yesterday.

Unless an agreement is reached soon, the company plans to begin to lay off workers from Friday.
