Gilmartin ‘amazed’ tribunal gave details of private meeting to Lawlor

TOM GILMARTIN has expressed serious concern at allegations that details of a private meeting he had with one of the country’s best-known solicitors were given to Liam Lawlor.

Mr Gilmartin told the Planning Tribunal yesterday he was “absolutely amazed” the former Fianna Fáil TD claimed he had been given such information by Dublin-based solicitor, Noel Smyth.

“I understood anything I said to my solicitor was covered by client-solicitor confidentiality,” said Mr Gilmartin.
