MARY HARNEY said the reform of the health service would go ahead as planned despite a potential strike by thousands of workers.

Strike ‘will not affect health service reform’

Up to 15,000 IMPACT union members said they would stop co-operating with preparations for health service reforms from Monday, December 13, until it gets a guarantee that jobs are safe.

The decision will effectively block the implementation of the new administrative structures because it represents the health service managers and administrators charged with implementing and operating the changes.
