Public to plan rail times

THE Northern Ireland public are being asked when they want the trains to run and being offered a prize for doing so, it has emerged.

Public to plan rail times

Translink is launching a public consultation on new rail timetables for the introduction of the 23 new trains being delivered from Spain.

The first three carriage train in the £80 million order was delivered to Belfast from Zaragosa last week and the last will arrive by next spring. It will only be then that the new timetables can be fully implemented with the trains that will cut journey times. Questionnaires will be available at all main rail and bus stations, through Translink’s call centre and online.
