Fans, friends say farewell to Fenton

LIMERICK said farewell to a soccer great yesterday.

Hundreds attended the funeral of Ewan Fenton, who died aged 76. Fenton became a local sporting legend when he brought the FAI Cup back to the city in 1971 as manager of Limerick AFC.

He subsequently managed Linfield to win the North’s FA Cup before returning to Limerick.
