Quality of life will improve for all, says Taoiseach

TAOISEACH Bertie Ahern yesterday said the Government’s 20-year development plan would lead to a better quality of life for all by tackling congestion and spreading job opportunities around the country.

He said it would ultimately give people more choice about where they want to live and work by delivering more balanced regional development.

"It is not just the multinational that will have the choice about where to set up. The graduate, the school-leaver, the farmer's child, the man or the woman who wants to return to work or education will also have choices," he said.
