Lesley looks good for Universe crown
The blonde beauty will represent Ireland in the Miss Universe Beauty Pageant on June 3. But the 21-year-old stunner gave a preview of her evening gown before jetting off.
Designed by Paul Moreland, the ivory satin creation has a pencil-slim long skirt with a fishtail. A handmade flower motif adorns one shoulder with diamonds on the other.
“I absolutely love the dress and I’m really looking forward to heading off,” said Lesley.
“I have about three and a half suitcases of clothes with me so I’m sure I’ll have enough things to wear.”
During her three-week stay in South America, Lesley will also model a national costume designed by Caroline Mitchell in jade green silk wool.
Lovely Lesley, who works for Bank of Ireland in Limerick, flew out from Shannon this morning to New York. From there she will fly directly to Panama.
The daughter of Limerick fire-fighter Derek Flood will compete against 86 other beauties from across the world for the Miss Universe Title. Lesley, who is also a part-time model, was chosen to represent Ireland at the Miss Ireland Pageant, which took place in Limerick last October.
