ANGRY parents yesterday accused the Government of reneging on pre-election promises to build six new classrooms to replace dilapidated prefabs.

The parents picketed outside the 700-pupil St Nessan’s National School in Mungret, Co Limerick to highlight the conditions they claim pose a serious hazard to their children’s health.

“I think it’s appalling that the failure of the Government to honour its pledge to the school is just part of a litany of broken promises that this administration left in its wake when they bought the last general election,” said mother of three, Elizabeth Walsh, from Raheen.
