HUNDREDS of builders were evacuated from the terminal building in Cork Airport that is under-construction yesterday after a gas cylinder caught fire.

No one was injured but three aircraft parking stands were closed and building work was halted for the day.

While operations on the ground at the airport were disrupted, flights were not affected.
