Streets feel less safe today than last year

ONE- IN-FOUR people feel less safe out walking at night than a year ago.

And almost half (44%) say they feel less safe than they did six years ago, according to a major garda survey.

The Garda Public Attitudes Survey 2002 found that far more people think crime is more of a problem in the country as a whole than in their own areas.
