Hospital cleaners strike ends
The Health Service Executive (HSE), South Eastern Area confirmed last night that the situation had returned to normal.
There was a union meeting yesterday morning after the cleaners downed tools on Tuesday after comments were made by a supervisor. By yesterday afternoon the employees of the Limerick-based firm, Contract Cleaning Services Ltd, were back to work.
The HSE said that there had been no disruption to services at the hospital.
Meanwhile, a pest control firm has been brought into the grounds of the hospital after it was reported that a rat was seen in the area.
