UNOFFICIAL industrial action by cleaners at Waterford Regional Hospital has ended following a meeting between staff and management at the company.

The Health Service Executive (HSE), South Eastern Area confirmed last night that the situation had returned to normal.

There was a union meeting yesterday morning after the cleaners downed tools on Tuesday after comments were made by a supervisor. By yesterday afternoon the employees of the Limerick-based firm, Contract Cleaning Services Ltd, were back to work.
