CAO application deadline looms for college hopefuls

THOUSANDS of college hopefuls are expected to apply for courses next autumn through the Central Applications Office (CAO) before this evening’s deadline.

The CAO had already received 38,000 applications through its website yesterday morning.

Almost half were made over the past five days, with 10,000 applications online over the weekend and 6,000 more on Monday.
