Man beaten by mob after approaching children
Limerick Superintendent Willie Keane yesterday warned people not to take the law into their own hands after the man was badly beaten by a group of adults in a Limerick housing estate.
The assault occurred at the weekend. According to gardai, children alerted adults in the Moyross area that a man had called them to his car while they were playing last Saturday evening. The group of adults then attacked the man. One local said it was a vicious assault: “The man was torn limb from limb. When they found out there was someone on the estate trying to get kids into his car they found him and gave him the beating of a life-time.’’
