Families could be hit with huge college fees

Families could be hit with bills in the region of €11,000 per student, based on minimum Arts fees of €4,000, maintenance and registration bills, if the Government decides to bring back college fees that were abolished in 1995.

It is feared that many college courses could cost up €8,000, plus a registration fee of €670, from next October.
