THE eight-week wait is almost over for 59,000 students who will receive their Leaving Certificate results tomorrow.

It is expected that a trend of increasing honours grades for most higher level subjects over the past decade will continue. However, concerns have been expressed by business leaders in the past week about the declining grades in higher level maths.

The State Examinations Commission (SEC) will be delivering results slips for each of this year’s 58,800 students to their schools by tomorrow morning. For those who are unable to attend their schools, the commission will make results available on its website (www.examinations.ie) from midday tomorrow.
