Court funds to boost repairs programme
Legislation going through the Dáil will enable the Courts Service to use the estimated €9.4 million lying in the Suitors of the High Court fund, mainly the result of unclaimed funds from wards of court, funds invested on behalf of minors, bail deposits and civil lodgments.
The High Court looks after the finances of wards of court people who are unable to look after themselves and minors before they reach the age of 18.
