Man missing since Friday
Ian O’Sullivan, from Mahon in Cork, went out for a few drinks to mark his 24th birthday last Thursday.
After returning home, he sat downstairs for a while and, shortly after midnight, he said he was going to the toilet. He went upstairs to check on his child in bed but family members have not seen him since.
Gardaí at Blackrock station have issued an appeal for anybody with information on Ian’s whereabouts.
He took his car, a blue Suzuki Ignis (01 C 1904), from the family home at St Michael’s Close. A similar car was reported as being seen on the South Ring Road, heading west towards the Kinsale Road roundabout, shortly before 1am last Friday which corresponds to shortly after the time Mr O’Sullivan left home.
Gardaí said he had been in good form on the night and his wife told them he has a bubbly and outgoing personality.
The family had holidays near Banna Strand in north Kerry last month and his wife thought Mr O’Sullivan might have gone back in that direction because he enjoyed being there.
However, gardaí said he did not have money or bank cards when he left and did not bring a mobile phone.
When he was last seen, Mr O’Sullivan was wearing a red and navy Umbro top, navy tracksuit pants, Nike runners and a navy fleece jacket. He is 5’ 9” tall, of medium build, with short light brown hair and blue eyes.
Anybody who thinks they might have seen him or his car should contact Blackrock gardaí at (021) 357401.
