ONE-IN-13 prisoners who got temporary release over Christmas have shown a firm preference for pudding over porridge by failing to return to jail on time.

The clock is now ticking on 22 missing inmates out of the 280 who were given parole for the festive season for varying periods of time ranging from several hours to eight days.

Those granted the longest period of release should have been back in their cells by Monday evening and all 22 are now officially declared as “at large”.
