Irish eyes are smiling as poll finds us contented

IRELAND might be no place for the poor, the sick or the elderly, or those who like Mediterranean-style weather, but we’re still among the happiest people in Europe.

According to a new survey published in the Wall Street Journal, the Irish remain among the most contented races on Earth.

Compared to Americans and our fellow Europeans, we enjoy a positive outlook on life that suggests if it ain't a famine, it's got to be a feast.
