Schools get green light to begin building work

However, Education Minister Mary Hanafin has been criticised for lack of information on funding and delays in the announcement of other schools making progress within the building programme.

The 89 primary and 33 second level schools given the go-ahead to proceed to construction in the next 15 months are being funded under the 493 million allocated to this year’s school building programme.
