Limerick man accidentally shot dead by friend

A LIMERICK man was accidentally shot dead by a friend yesterday while on a St Patrick’s Day target practice outing.

One man accidently discharged the rifle as they were placing cans on a ditch to shoot at.

They were in a country lane on the outskirts of the city when the shot was discharged at around lunchtime. Both were using legally held .22 rifles.
