Probe into vacant apartments

AN INVESTIGATION is being launched to find out why almost half of the apartments in a building in Waterford developed for people with special needs remain vacant, a full year after they were built.

Junior Minister at the Department of Health, Tim O’Malley, is to examine why the rooms at the Cheshire Home on John’s Hill remain idle. The South Eastern Health Board has been unable to finance the running of the centre at full capacity.
